After bidding bye-bye to her Broadway show this month, Ashlee Simpson-Wentz has headed home to L.A. with hubby Pete Wentz and son Bronx, but in an exclusive interview the singer tells OK! she wants to expand the family!
“Children are the most beautiful gifts you can have in your life, Ashlee tells OK!. “I love being a mother. Definitely, we’d love to have more kids.”
Pete got into playing Mr. Mom while his wife starred in the musical Chicago. “Staying home..it’s awesome,” he tells OK!. But he’s handing mother-hood chores back to Ashlee for a while, at her request.
“I can’t be Mr. Mom anymore,” says Pete, who is taking a break from his band Fall Out Boy. “I’ll have to go out and get a job.”
Both enjoy the low-key life. “Our date nights are always at home,” says Ashlee. “Pete’s always doing something romantic. We cook for each other, chill, watch TV.”
And they delight in watching their 15-month old son grow up. “Bronx is getting his own personality,” says Ashlee. Adds Pete: “He’s a very serene baby.”

At Boa Steakhouse in Los Angeles – February 19 [HQ]
   
To ring in Joe Simpson’s 52nd birthday, the entire brood came out to Boa Steakhouse in L.A. on Friday Feb. 19 to celebrate including daughter Jessica Simpson, who brought along a ball with, ‘Happy Birthday Dad’ written on it in a jar filled with sand.
Jessica’s hairstylist and friend Ken Paves also tagged along for the ride alongside Ashlee Simpson Wentz and her rocker hubby Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy.
While Pete didn’t seem to thrilled to be photographed outside of the restaurant, Jessica was all smiles as she toted her gift to dad inside.

Heading to Ken Paves Salon – February 18 [MQ]
   
Back home on the west coast after spending time in NYC for Fashion Week, Ashlee Simpson was spotted making her way around West Hollywood on Thursday (February 18).
Looking stylish as she passed awaiting paparazzi, the former “Melrose Place” actress happened to be readying for a pampering session at the Ken Paves Salon.
Meanwhile, Miss Simpson is currently in the midst of trying to get rid of a little real estate, as her Mediterranean Villa in Beverly Hills was recently put up for sale for $4 million.
According to an agency listing, “the five-bedroom compound sits on more than half an acre, and features cathedral beamed ceilings, both a fitness and media room, and a zen garden with a fire pit.”

New York Fashion Week Clandestine Industries – February 16 [MQ]
   
Making the most of their time at Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week, Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz were spotted at the Style360 event at Stage 37 yesterday (February 16).
The former Fall Out Boy rocker debuted his new collection for Clandestine Industries, with his “Pieces of Me” wife watching from the front row.
And at one point, Pete did his best impression of Hannibal Lecter as he was wheeled out on a dolly cart while wearing the infamous metal face mask.
Now that Pete has called it quits with his emo-rock outfit, he’ll have more time to design clothes and fulfill his fatherly duties to son Bronx Mowgli.

Ashlee and Pete at LAX airport – February 15 [MQ]
   
Getting ready to depart from Los Angeles, Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz were spotted arriving at LAX International Airport yesterday (February 15).
The “Pieces of Me” songstress and her bearded hubby looked affectionate as they cleared security, both trying to ignore the nearby paparazzi.
And though it didn’t appear that they were taking their son Bronx Mowgli with them on this excursion, Ashlee recently told press how happy she is to be a mother.
“Children are the most beautiful gifts you can have in life. We’d love more kids,” Simpson exclaimed. “I love being a mother. We’re together all the time. Bronx is definitely finding himself, and he’s getting his own personality, so hide-and-seek, and new little things. He does sign language, so that’s been fun.”
