Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz spent some family time shopping in Sherman Oaks, California this afternoon. The couple hit up the local Target store with their son Bronx.

Is anyone else a little surprised to see them at Target? I mean, plenty of celebrities shop at “regular” stores like Target and Walmart, but we just don’t see it too often! It also makes me wonder who took these shots? Was it a paparazzi in the store or just a regular customer who sold them to the photo agencies?

They look so happy and content, don’t they? I wonder how easy it is to get Bronx to stay in the cart. That’s usually that age when they want to stand up and beg to get down!

Having been taking a break from work to focus on her motherly duties, Ashlee Simpson was spotted spending the day with her young son Bronx in Los Angeles, CA on Friday (August 13).

Seeming to be in a cheerful mood, the “Pieces of Me” singer scooped up her baby boy as she paid a visit to a friend’s house during the steamy summer afternoon.

As previously reported by GossipCenter, Ashlee and husband Pete Wentz are just back on the west coast following a stay in NYC.

There for a big concert by Pete and his bandmates, Ashlee tweeted of the show, “I love watching mr @petewentz play (: the show was so good last night! Songs are stuck in my head woop woop!”

That blonde hair always surprises me! Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz are so dark and punk rock and their son… isn’t. I know so many people who have black hair and olive skin and whose kids are light blonde. Naturally, the color darkens over the years, but it’s still always shocking to see.

Here’s Ashlee, Pete with their son, Bronx, spotted leaving their hotel in New York City today. What do you think about the singer’s extensions being a few shades lighter than her natural color? It’s a bit of a trend in Hollywood. I’m not so sure I’m loving it.

Out and about with Bronx in New York City – August 10

Making for the picture perfect parenting team, Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz juggled time with son Bronx Mowgli in New York City on Tuesday (August 10).

The former “Melrose Place” actress was spotted leaving the Bowery hotel for a walk through the East Village with a friend while hubby Pete Wentz was seen taking Bronx for a stroll a little while later in the day.

Meanwhile, it sounds as if Ashlee is quite excited about returning to the stage – as she’s gearing up for a Big Apple gig later tonight.

The 25-year-old tweeted, “With @beberexha and @blackcards and of course hubby @petewentz – bout to play first show ever. Stoked!!!”
