Get excited! Ashlee says she’s in the midst of writing songs for her new album! It’s been more than two years since Ashlee Simpson-Wentz, 25, put out her third studio album, Bittersweet World, and we’ve been dying for more music from the punky mom. So imagine our joy when Ashlee told us that a fourth album is on
the way! “I’m writing now,” she told HollywoodLife.com exclusively Sept. 10 at the BCBG show at Lincoln Center in NYC, part of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. “I’m not in a rush. I’m loving being a mom, but I’m excited to get back out there.”
OK, so it sounds like Ashlee’s been busy with her OTHER side project, baby Bronx Mowgli, but she’s ready to get back in the game. “I’m loving where my record is going,” she continued. “It’s not a super rush, but I do want to get it out for my fans.”
Ashlee Simpson, 25, looked drop dead gorgeous Sept. 10 at the BCBG fashion show, part of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, at Lincoln Center in NYC. But even more interesting than what she was wearing is what she’s designing herself! The fashionista told HollywoodLife.com exclusively, “My best friend and I, that I grew up with, are in talks for [a clothing line.] It’s relatively close to happening.” When asked if it would be clothing or accessories, she simply answered, “more pieces.”
Ashlee previously collaborated on a line with Wet Seal back in 2008, but it sounds like this will be her first independent line — and we can’t wait to see it! But don’t expect big sis (and fellow designer) Jessica Simpson, 30, to help Ashlee out.
“I don’t help her with her line and she doesn’t help me with ours,” she told us. “But we support each other no matter what, and I wear her line all the time.”
Ashlee even told us her favorite part of Jessica’s line: ”The skinny jeans because they’re cute on the booty, and that’s always important when it comes to jeans.”
We couldn’t agree more Ashlee — it’s very important for jeans to give you a cute tush because no one likes a saggy one!
Jessica Simpson touched down in New York this week to debut her new denim line for the spring 2011 Jessica Simpson Collection. She showed off her new denim bottoms at her New York showroom, so we popped by to see the range, from skinny jeans to flares to jeggings (who doesn’t have those these days!), priced between $49 to $69. Jessica Simpson enlisted a few of her friends to model the new styles at the preview, including little sister Ashlee Simpson-Wentz and her husband, Pete Wentz. When we caught up with the couple, Pete revealed that he was wearing a denim jacket designed by Jessica — a women’s jacket! And, we must admit, it looked pretty fabulous on him. Don’t you think? Read on to find out what else they told us.
What’s your favorite type of denim?
Ashlee: I have a denim shirt on tonight, which I really love. But my favorite denim is a good pair of jeans, and I love skinny jeans. But I think Jessica made a really awesome pair of skinny jeans, the denim is so fine and it just fits your body. And it’s a pair, I know for me, I can wear it on an airplane, I can wear it all week. And I like that. I like a pair of jeans that I can wear all week. Like you want dirty jeans, I like that they can get dirty and they stay up.
Pete, does Jessica give you any tips on your fashion?
Pete: Uhhh, yeah, definitely. I’m wearing her denim jacket right now. It’s womens. It fits nice.
Do you share clothes with each other?
Ashlee: I always wear his sweaters. Sometimes he wears mine. Sometimes his clothes fit me.
Pete: I stretch out her clothes.
What else do you share in terms of clothing?
Pete: When she gets something, I try to wear it out first.
At Jessica Simpson’s Spring 2011 jeanswear show last night, little sister Ashlee Simpson-Wentz gushed to us about her love of ’90s fashion (and proudly stole/still wears Jessica’s flower Doc Martens from the 9th grade) and her obsession with the Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ Karen O. It’s no surprise, then, that she’s recording an indie-folk album and working on a “boutiquey” clothing line of her own. PAPERMAG chatted with her about it all at the show.
Are you sticking around for any NYFW shows?
I am for a little bit, but I’m sticking around to write music this week.
Do you know the direction of the forthcoming record?
I do, I do. I see the light. But I’m definitely not spilling the beans just yet. It’s definitely a bit folky.
Way more folky than “Pieces of Me”?
It had that feel, but I’m really going for it this time!
Well, “LaLa” and “Outta My Head” were pretty major.
Well, I’m always a kooky person, so you’re not going to lose that. But for me, there’s an era of music that I miss and I wanna make that kind of music. The songs that we need to hear.
Jessica Simpson is no stranger to the front row, but to show her own collection during New York Fashion Week, the blonde bombshell is saying “no” to the runway and to professional models! Instead, Jessica plans to host a private presentation to preview her spring 2011 apparel and accessories collection, and showcase her new denim line using 8 of her best friends as models.
Enlisting the likes of sister Ashlee Simpson-Wentz and close friend Cacee Cobb, Jessica will dress her nearest and dearest in her debut denim line as well as jewelry and apparel from her fall/holiday collection. The models will mingle with fashion editors and guests while brother-in-law Pete Wentz spins tunes.
Ashlee Simpson Wentz’s publicist has slammed reports the pop star mum has fallen out with her husband Pete Wentz over his choice for a new singer.
Sources claim Simpson-Wentz is far from happy that sexy Bebe Rexh has been chosen to front the former Fall Out Boy star’s new act, Black Cards – because she fears her man will fall for the exotic-looking New Yorker.
The insider tells In Touch magazine, “Ashlee is making a huge effort to make sure that Bebe feels like she belongs – and knows that Ashlee likes her, but Ashlee is so insecure, it brings out the worst in her.
“She was so worried about Pete straying that she was fighting with him constantly about Bebe. Her friends told her to stop being so controlling or it would drive him away. Finally, she listened. Now that she’s giving him more space, they’re getting along much better.”
But Simpson-Wentz’s representative insists there’s no truth to the story, stating, “Both (Ashlee and Pete) are committed to their marriage and are each other’s biggest support system professionally and personally.”
So guys Ashlee has recently registered two new songs that are titled “BACKSTREET DRIVER” and “AINT SAYIN NUTHIN” nothing is confirmed this are just two songs that have recently been copyrighted and were written by Ashlee, also i got news from a producer who said that one of Ashlee’s songs for the new album had been written and finished, the only producer that has been confirmed to work this Ashlee on this album is John Shanks, he also produced Autobiography & I Am Me more news coming soon!
Singer Ashlee Simpson-Wentz has revealed that having to carry her baby boy upstairs helps her to keep in shape.
The Chicago star made her comments in local Los Angeles newspaper, the Daily News, in an article about celebrity fitness.
She said: “I have lots of stairs at my house and my son [Bronx] is 33lb now, so I carry him up the stairs a lot.”
Simpson-Wentz also revealed that carrying her 20-month-old son around is not the only way that she keeps trim.
She said: “I definitely hit the gym. I’ll do 30 minutes when he’s down for a nap. I’ll do 30 minutes of cardio and I also like a class called Cardio Barre [aerobic-ballet workout].”
The 25-year-old singer-turned-actress, who has admitted to battling anorexia as a teenager, said that these days she tries to be sensible when it comes to losing weight.
She said: “I just like to feel healthy and live a nice lifestyle. I don’t like to tell myself I can’t have something, so if I want cake I’ll eat in moderation…
“I don’t not allow myself to have things, because then it’s all a mind-game.”
Ashlee Simpson-Wentz has is living a full life as a singer, actress, and mom to Bronx Mowgli Wentz with husband and former Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz. Now that her son is a little older, Simpson-Wentz is working on a new album.
“Yes, I’m in the studio now,” She told OnTheRedCarpet.com. “I’m doing it quietly, taking my time, enjoying it. Because, really I’m at a great place in my life and my first priority is Bronx. It will be just what I want it to be, at the right time, when I’m ready for it.”
Speaking of her son Bronx, Simpson-Wentz says: “Bronx is amazing, he’s 20 months now and he’s just growing, and growing, and growing.” The young Wentz is also just starting to talk and Simpson-Wentz says, “It’s great to watch him learn.”
As for the rest of the family, Simpson-Wentz recently told E!Online that she approves of her sister, Jessica Simpson, and her new boyfriend Eric Johnson. “Jessica is happy, so I am happy,” she said. The new couple recently celebrated Jessica Simpson’s 30th birthday together in Italy.

Just because Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson-Wentz don’t speak Spanish, doesn’t mean their 20-month-old son Bronx Mowgli can’t.
“He’s speaking some Spanish!” the Fall Out Boy father gushed to us at VH1′s Do Something Awards in Hollywood of the toddler’s recent milestones. “He’s started saying, ‘Sí.’ I always ask him stuff, and he’ll be like, ‘Sí.”
“I speak pretty bad Spanish but we have this fantastic nanny and she speaks Spanish to him,” Wentz explained. “I think it’s really important to be global.”
Meanwhile, Wentz also revealed he’s a freshly-minted fan of our favorite vampire series True Blood.
“Ashlee’s the one who got me into it,” Wentz said.
What’s the appeal?
For him, he simply says, “It’s a really great show.” But for Ashlee, he smiled, “maybe it’s because they have great looking guys.”
